Plenty of things to say now punks
The posting has come few and far between now that I am in grad school. And that is changing today. Now that I am paying to develop my opinions on cities, urbanity, social hierarchy and planning, you best be DAMN sure that you are going to see some opinions now.
Last night I gave a presentation to the Planning Students of Color (PSC).
!
yes, there were white people that invited to come to this thing... as well as students from India - pretty much anyone who has a color, which is everyone. The theme of the group this year is "Gentrification", yours truly definitely has some opinions on that, given that I have been a gentrifier as a resident and property manager. I think it went well, although I got nervous because I'm a tall white guy who kicked black people out of their apartments. I had some razor thin and slippery reasoning for the good that I did at the building where most of the evicting occurred.
it was also my first powerpoint session. here to you nicola and bart.
