So they are starting to look for someone to replace me at my job. Which sort of makes me feel odd - I have been working here for over four years. But my quality of life has gone downhill and I am feeling better and better every day about leaving.
Also, I just learned that the Consumer Price Index went up almost 5% last year. So if you got a 5% raise last year (pretty sweet, usually) all it did was keep your salary congruent with inflation. Much like I did last year. I was very happy at the time, but now that I've learned this it makes me feel like I've been ripped off.
I used to not really care about money, but I've realized that I'm smart enough that my time equals money to some people. And I feel that I was never going to get paid enough for my precious time.
So, anybody that is reading this, remember - your time is valuable. Not only your skills (all the computer programs you know), but your precious precious time.
